A maker built a custom multi-input retro-style monitor called the PixelVision AV1000 MKII, using a 9.7-inch 2K iPad display and a RetroTink clone for input switching. The build draws aesthetic inspiration from the Amiga 1000 monitor and a small tilting Sony CRT TV, and emphasizes design-for-manufacturing principles by using FDM 3D printing with parts designed to print flat and assemble easily. The maker even created custom packaging and an unboxing video for the self-made unit. Full design files and a build video are shared for others to learn from or replicate.
