A personal website tracks its own visitor count with a daily manual tally written into a ledger file, including zero-visitor days and the site owner's own visits, to guarantee the number can't be faked. The project follows an earlier 14-day experiment ('the inn') that logged 48 total visitors and concluded that distribution ('reach') matters more than having a polished product ('room').
